What would you sacrifice?

Reaching the heights of professional football is not just about having the natural ability and determination to succeed, sometimes you have to make sacrifices to achieve your ambitions.

The majority of football players that you watch every week, no matter what level of League football they are playing in, will have made some sort of sacrifice along the way to becoming a pro. It may have been something relatively small, like staying in and going to bed early when they were younger, rather than going out with their mates.  Or perhaps it was a bigger sacrifice, like moving away from their families as teenagers to join a club, like John O’Shea did when he left Ireland to Join Manchester United.

What sacrifices do you make to play football? What would you be prepared to sacrifice if you thought you could make it as a pro?

I used to take dancing lessons on wednesday nights, but i had to give up because footy practice was the same night so i picked football over dancing. I also play matches on sundays so i can’t hang out with my friends, but i dont mind cos i really love playing
